Every institution has a starting point.
SVGA began in 1994, not with resources, but with resolve.

A small group of graduates from the Vagad region came together with a shared concern — students were capable, hardworking, and ambitious, yet many were unable to continue education due to lack of guidance, books, or financial support.
There were no formal systems in place. Only conversations. Only commitment.
These were the foundation years — where trust was built within the community and the belief was established that education must be protected at any cost.

In 1998, SVGA took its first structured step with the launch of the Book Bank Scheme — a decision that would go on to define the organisation’s identity.

The purpose was clear:
No student should drop out because textbooks are unaffordable.
Under this scheme:
📊 Impact till date:

The year 2007 marked a defining transformation.
SVGA acquired its own permanent office, giving the organisation stability and scale. With this, multiple initiatives found a structured home:
Most importantly, the School Scholarship Programme was formally launched with an initial corpus of ₹30,00,000.
This was not charity.
This was an investment in futures.
During this phase, SVGA focused on depth over display.
Educational exposure programs such as aptitude testing in schools, student development workshops, and educational visits (Kutch Darshan, Deolali trips) broadened student perspectives.
Handwriting improvement workshops, public speaking seminars, and personality development initiatives addressed a silent but critical gap — expression and confidence.
SVGA also began linking education with social responsibility, participating in public initiatives such as the Mumbai Marathon, reinforcing that learning and giving back must go together.

In 2017, SVGA recognised a new barrier: the digital divide.
The Laptop Scheme was launched, offering laptops at 50% subsidy to students pursuing higher or professional education after Standard 12.
📊 2017–2025 Impact:

When COVID-19 disrupted classrooms, SVGA responded with urgency and empathy.

Today, SVGA stands as:
Rooted in values.
Evolving with time.
SVGA’s story is not about years.
It is about continuity.
Not about schemes — but about lives quietly changed.
In 1992, a group of visionary Vagad graduates came together with a shared mission — to uplift the community through the power of education. This idea transformed into the Shree Vagad Graduates Association, officially formed by community leaders who believed:
“Higher education is our birthright — and we will achieve it.”
SVGA began with a mission to:
